NewsDuran Duran to hit BroadwayDuran Duran have announced that they will play an unprecedented nine shows on Broadway to celebrate the release of their forthcoming album, 'Red Carpet Massacre', which is due out November 12 in Europe and the UK and a day later in the US, as previously reported. The band, which features original members Simon Le Bon, John Taylor, Nick Rhodes and Roger Taylor, intend to play the new album in its entirety, as well as classics such as 'Rio', 'Hungry Like The Wolf' and 'Ordinary World', during their Broadway stint. "We've always wanted to do something like this, and the timing seemed right," frontman LeBon told NME.COM. The band will perform at New York's Barrymore Theatre November 1- 3, 5-6, 8-10 and 12. Tickets are set to go on sale October 6 through Telecharge. Razorlight to perform intimate New York show Razorlight have been confirmed to perform a special show at New York City's Gramercy Theatre next month. The show at the 700 capacity venue will be the band's only US date this summer, although there are plans afoot for a full US tour in the autumn. In addition to slots at Pinkpop, T In The Park, and the Reading/Leeds festivals, the band will also perform at Al Gore's Live Earth concert in London on July 7. "I'm personally excited that we're going to be a part of the Live Earth show," frontman Johnny Borrell said in a statement. "I went to the cinema to see 'An Inconvenient Truth' with my mates when it was released and I walked out afterwards thinking that I had to do something. When we got the call to join the bill for the London show, it was really a no-brainer." Razorlight play the Gramercy Theatre on May 1.
